We only provide financial advice about products from certain providers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For life insurance, we work with six companies \u2013 AIA, Resolution Life, Asteron Life, Chubb, Fidelity Life, and Partners Life.<br>For health insurance, we work with four providers \u2013 AIA, NIB, Partners Life, and Southern Cross.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Kiwisaver, we work with Fisher Funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We follow the six step advice process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;Getting to know you and understand your needs and requirements. Define expectations of what is needed from us.<br><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>&nbsp; Obtain information from you about your current financial position.<br><strong>Step 3:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;Analysing your information and evaluating alternatives for you.<br><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>&nbsp; Developing your financial plan to you and presenting this to you.<br><strong>Step 5:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;Implementing agreed recommendations from your financial plan.<br><strong>Step 6:<\/strong>&nbsp; Monitoring recommendations. We do this by contacting you periodically to determine if there have been any changes to your financial situation, health, or other matters which could require a modification of your financial plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fees and Expenses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Groupcare NZ Limited t.a. <em>Liferaft Financial Advice<\/em> does not charge fees, expenses or any other amount for the financial advice provided to its clients. We do, however, receive a commission from insurers when you choose to take cover through them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conflicts of interest and incentives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where possible, Groupcare NZ endeavours to avoid conflicts of interest.&nbsp; Groupcare NZ&nbsp; does not receive any production bonuses based on sales volume.&nbsp; Groupcare NZ does see the value in goal setting and proactivity in helping clients but, other than standard commission, does not receive any additional payments for the number of sales made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Groupcare NZ Limited and our financial advisers receive commissions from the providers on whose products we give financial advice (the insurers and Kiwisaver providers). If you decide to take out insurance or take Kiwisaver advice from us, the provider will pay a commission to Groupcare NZ Limited and to your financial adviser. The amount of commission is based on the amount of the premium paid or the funds under management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From time to time, product providers may also reward us for the overall business we provide to them. They may give us small gifts (eg. Water bottles), access to seminars, or other incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure that our financial advisers prioritise the client\u2019s interests above their own, we follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made based on the client\u2019s goals and circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We maintain registers of conflicts of interests, and the gifts and incentives we receive. We monitor these registers and provide additional training to our team where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We perform an annual review of our compliance programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complaints handling and dispute resolution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not satisfied with our financial advice service you can make a complaint by emailing anthea@groupcarenz.co.nz or by calling: 09 2790935.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also write to us at P.O. We may need to contact you to get further information about your complaint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We aim to provide a written response to your complaint within 28 working days of receiving it. If we can\u2019t resolve your complaint within this period, we will contact you within that time to let you know we need more time to consider your complaint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If we can\u2019t resolve your complaint, or you aren\u2019t satisfied with the way we propose to do so, you can contact Financial Service Complaints Limited.
